How value flows

The Economy

Value should move like water — toward where it’s needed, never pooling, never stagnant.

Most economies are built to pool. Value flows up and gathers at the top, where it sits, stagnant, doing little. SeedTree is built on the opposite principle: value that flows.

Inside the ecosystem, contribution is tracked as a simple signal of flow — not a currency to hoard, not a cut of the profits, just a sign of where energy is moving and where it’s needed. The actual resources follow that signal, routing toward the projects and people doing the work, the way a forest routes water to the seedling that needs it most.

Nothing is charged to individuals. Surplus doesn’t accumulate — it returns to a commonwealth held by the people in the ecosystem, and flows back out to where there’s life and need. The system is non-extractive by design: it takes only the smallest amount needed to keep itself alive, and everything else keeps moving.

This is a parallel economy — running alongside the old one, not asking you to leave it. You don’t have to believe in it or understand it to take part. It simply works differently: on contribution and reciprocity rather than extraction and accumulation. Value as flow, not as a pile.

In the old economy, you are worth what you own. Here, you are worth what you grow.
